The Vacaville Police Department Headquarters was designed to meet the LEED Silver Certification. Light shelves in each window keeps direct sun from entering each office area. Sunoptics Prismatic Skylights provide the lighting for the interior areas of the second floor.

A series of 4’ x 4’ Pyramid skylights provide the daylight. Throughout the construction process, the skylights provided enough light for all trades to perform their work. Fluorescent light fixtures surround the skylight wells and are direct-indirect dimming.
